Women in religions
The stained glass-ceiling in religious organization is proving hard to crack: although studies have shown that women are more religious than men—more likely to believe in God, pray daily, and regularly fill the seats at religious services—they are still underrepresented as worship leaders in many traditions. Because of the important role religion still plays in societies in the EU and the US, it is interesting to understand what role women play in the dominant religions in the two continents.
